Visuwords

Reading an old post on Sarolta's blog, I found a link to Visuwords. It is a visual dictionary/thesaurus that shows part of speech, definition, and the relationship between that word and others.

This is an example of what it produced for the word connection.

Sarolta says she as begun preparing activities for her students using this site. I can see lots of potential.

Very cool open source site. This will work beautifully with my current vocabulary development program that I'm using for my students. We are looking at roots/prefixes/suffixes (stems). The students are enjoying the exposure to the new words they are experiencing but aren't always able to understand their meanings. Thanks for finding it! Color, movement, connections, interactivity what more could you ask!
